9.2. Pre-programmed protocols selection

Enraf-Nonius stored parameters on the P1 until P9. The parameters can be changed see paragraph 9.4.
Switch on
• Connect the standard main adapter to connector [1]
• Connect the main adapter plug to the mains socket
• Switch the unit on with the button [2]
During the start-up period runs a self-test.
Program selection
• Push the button [8]
• Select a program P1 - P9 with one of the buttons [7] within
2½ seconds. The number is indicated on display [5]
• After finishing selections with the buttons [7] the
parameters will show after approx. 2 seconds
Starting treatment
• Position the treatment head on the spot that has to be treated (do not forget to apply gel)
• When adequate contact is made, the timer will start (flashing dot)
Ending treatment
Treatment can be stopped by taking off the treatment head from the patient and setting the timer to
zero. Treatment stops automatically when the treatment time has elapsed.

9.3. Overview treatment suggestions

Attention:
• During treatment the patient may not feel unpleasant sensations amounting to pain. A mild sensation
of excitation is permissible.
• If, as result of treatment, headache, vertigo, fatigue and/or other (autonomic nervous) reactions de-
velop, subsequent treatment should be given at a lower intensity.
• With continuous and pulsed ultrasound at high intensity a sensation of heat may be felt. Only a mild
sensation of warmth is acceptable.
