WARNING

PROBLEM
Saw will not start
Blade does not
come up to speed
Excessive vibration
Cut binds, burns, stalls
motor when ripping
Cut not true at 90° or
45° positions
Plastic melts or blade
tips overheat when
cutting
Tilt lock handle

Circuit breaker trips

Troubleshooting

CAUSE
Power cord is not plugged in.
Fuse or circuit breaker tripped.
Cord damaged.
Burned out switch.
Extension cord too light or too long.
Low supply voltage.
Failure to tighten bevel lock handle.
Blade out of balance.
Saw not mounted securely to stand
or workbench.
Arbor Nut not tight.
Dull blade with improper tooth set.
Warped board.
Rip fence not parallel to blade.
Riving knife out of alignment.
Alignment screws not adjusted
properly.
Feedrate to high.
Blades tip not sharp
Bevel lock handle not loosened when
making tilt adjustment.
Saw dust on depth screw threads.
Circuit breaker trips repeatedly
while cutting.
SOLUTION
Plug saw in.
Replace fuse or reset tripped circuit breaker.
Have cord replaced by an Authorized SKILSAW
Service Center or Service Station.
Have switch replaced by an Authorized SKILSAW
Service Center or Service Station.
Replace with adequate cord.
Contact your electric company.
