INSTRUCTIONS ON aSSEMBLY aND USE
EN
• Charging - Load
You should now place the weak foot slightly transverse to the direction of the
rear part of the rear footboard and shift your body weight backwards onto
the weak foot to "charge the drive". The rear pedals should be pressed all the
way down. Make sure when you place your foot on the rear footboard that it
can not end up under the front footboard, while bobbing.
• Pedalling - Step
You achieve the drive forward by shifting your body weight all the way
forward to your strong foot, upon reaching the lowest position of the rear
pedals. You in turn have to step on the front pedals all the way down, in order
to discharge.
• Bobbing
You achieve the typical bobbing rhythm through the repeated Load & Step.
The faster you master the two individual procedures, the faster you can ride!
• Braking
The brakes are activated by pulling the brake lever on the handlebar grip.
Ride with foresight, in order to avoid sharp braking and thereby protect the
service life of the material, as well as to enhance ride safety.
We recommend folding the scooter by hand after each use or using the stand.
The stand is in the direction of movement, located on the left hand side under
the running board. Its use is ensured through simply folding and unfolding.
Aluminium is a good and light material but should also be handled carefully as it
is not as hard as steel, for example.

ADJUSTING THE BRAKES (FIGURES 9A AND 9B)
The brake system is pre-assembled and pre-adjusted. You should however en-
sure prior to each use that the brake system is functioning properly. In the event
that the braking effect is not satisfactory, it can be easily adjusted. There are
several options, starting with the brake lever all the way to the brakes. The dis-
tance of the brake lever to the handlebar grip can be influenced with the adjust-
ing screw (A). Tighten it to decrease the distance; loosen it to increase the dis-
tance. The screw serves first and foremost to provide the correct degree of grip
for the user. A change will however also slightly alter the braking effect. A loos-
ening of the screw, increases the distance to the lever. A tightening of the screw
reduces the distance and thus the braking options. The adjustment nuts (B/ C)
alter the length of the brake cable. If they are turned in the direction of the cable,
the cable length is shortened and the brakes engage earlier. In addition, one can
also tighten the screws (D). These have a direct influence on the band brakes.
The brake profile is pressed closer to the axle when the screws are tightened,
and accordingly loosened by loosening the screws. In case all of these possi-
bilities have been exhausted, one can also shorten the wire tension. In order to
do this, the nut (E) has to be loosened, and the brake cable pulled tighter and
reattached. Please seek help from a professional, in case you get stuck with the
brake adjustment. Since a malfunction of the brakes can cause serious injury or
damage!
WHEEL CHANGE
Replacement wheels are available as accessories from http://www.hudora.de/
and should be replaced when they get worn down. To change the wheels, loosen
the axle fitting with two Allen keys and remove the wheels from the axle. A
screwdriver or Allen key can be used to push the bearings out of the wheel in
order to use them again in the new wheels. However, it is usually advisable to
change the bearings when the wheels are being changed. Put the bearings into
the new wheel with the spacer sleeve and mount them to the frame with the axle
screws. Make sure that the axle has been screwed on tightly before starting
again!
All images are examples of the design.
BEARINGS
Your scooter is equipped with precision ball bearings which were filled with lu-
brication at high pressure during manufacture. For this reason, the wheels can
only run easily and quickly when there is a load on the scooter. The bearings are
maintenance free. If a bearing should fail, it should be completely replaced.
Bearings are available as accessories at http://www.hudora.de/.
