5. Check the distance between contacts with a thickness gauge.
Vary the distance moving the lateral electrode. Correct distance
between contact is: 0.70- 0.80mm.
6. Check that the spark plug o-ring is in good condition. Screw it in
with the spark plug key to protect the tapping.

(1) If the pump is used in a dirty environment the inspection and maintenance operations should be carried out more frequently.
(2) If you as the user do not posses the necessary tools or knowledge for these operations, please contact an authorised distributor to carry
out the inspection and maintenance test detailed below. If you consider yourself capable of such tests always consult the maintenance
manual.
NOTE
Where it is necessary to install a new spark ignition turn it further
half a rotation once the spark plug reaches the position of the o-ring
in such a way that it provides pressure. If the spark plugs are worn,
the additional turn should be a quarter or half rotation.
ATTENTION
Ensure the spark ignition is adequately tightened. Incorrect tighte-
ning could cause the overheating of the motor. Never use spark plugs
with an incorrect thermal range.
