OBSERVED FAULTS, POSSIBLE CAUSES AND REMEDIES
OBSERVED FAULT
• The burner won't start (the fan doesn't work)
• The burner starts up (the fan is working)
•
but the flame doesn't light up
• Water leaks between head and pump body
• Oil leaks between head and pump body
• Water is warm even if thermostat is set to
•
maximum temperature
• Lack of water warning light (6) lights up and
•
the water cleaner stops (T.S. only )
• Lack of detergent warning light (7) lights up
•
and the water cleaner stops (T.S. only)
• Lack of gasoil warning light (8) lights up and
•
and the water cleaner stops (T.S. only)
CAUSES
• MV fan motor with no electrical supply
• Faulty motor and/or capacitor
• Very low water delivery pressure
• Manostat out of order
• Thermostat out of order
• Consumed gasoil
• Gasoil filter clogged
• Motor/gasoil pump coupling damaged
• Gasoil pump worn out
• Gasoil nozzle dirty or spoiled
• Weak/no ignition spark
• Gasoil electro-valve out of order
• Gasoil flow pressure is insufficient
• Air infiltrations in the gasoil suction pipes
• Worn out seals
• Worn out piston
• Worn out tap O.R. seal
• Pump body side sealing rings worn out
• Fuel delivery is insufficient
• Gasoil flow pressure is insufficient
• The heating coil is obstructed with scales
• Feeding water doesn't come to the tub
• Feeding water comes with insufficient pressure
• Consumed detergent
• Consumed gasoil

REMEDIES
• Check the burner switch IB and electrical
•
connections
• Check the capacitor and the motor
• Check the point "the water jet is regular but
•
its pressure values are verylow"
• Replace the manostat
• Replace the thermostat
• Fill the gasoil tank
• Clean and/or replace the gasoil filter
• Replace the coupling
• Replace the pump
• Clean the nozzle with compressed air
•
or with gasoil or replace it
• Check the electrodes and/or the
•
ignition transformer
• Clean and/or Replace the electro-valve
• Clean and adjust the electrodes
• Check the tightening of all nipples
• Replace seals
• Replace the piston
• Replace O.R. seal
• Replace the sealing rings
• Clean the oil nozzle and/or the gasoil filter
• Calibrate the gasoil pump or replace it
• Follow the instructions of the
•
paragraph "Descaling"
• Clean the water filter
• Check the water supply plant and follow the
•
