Note:
• Make sure the unit is switched off before you open the clamp
• Do not disconnect the clamp during operation
• Never use two heaters on the same component.

3.2.3 Thermometer mode

While not in operation the unit will display the actual temperature recorded by the probe
when
and
are pressed simultaneously.
Reset this function by pressing any other key.

3.2.4 Change of temperature unit

To change from °C to °F or vice versa, press the buttons

3.3 Demagnetization

The high frequency current used, which creates low flux density in the bearing, means
that no magnetization will take place, thus avoiding the necessity for demagnetization.

Safety features

This bearing heater is equipped with the following safety features:
• Input current fused at 5 A.
• Output current restriction to the clamp at 1,2 A at 380 V.
• Internal thermal overload protection (indicated by error code 03).
• In the TEMPERATURE MODE the heater will switch off if the temperature probe does
not register a temperature increase of 1 degree every 15 seconds (indicated by error
code 05).
• A short circuit on the clamp windings or cable will not inflict any risk to the user.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and lifetime of the heater protect the unit against physical
misuse, high humidity and direct contact with water.
Avoid impacts against the clamp. The ferrite core especially is sensitive to these types of
shocks.
Do not overload the spring mechanism on the clamp.
Make sure the the ferrite poles are clean and that the clamp closes perfectly.
