machine is switched on. Stop the machine and use a
wedge to free the machine.
CUTTING THE BRANCH FROM A TREE
To cut a branch from a
tree that is not touching
the ground cut a quarter of
the way from the bottom
side (1) and then cut the
rest from the top end (2).
This way you will help the
aperture of the cut and that
the branch does not pull and
damage the tree trunk.
Cut long branches in several pieces starting from the
outermost part of the branch (furthest away from the
tree trunk).
If you have to cut several branches from the same
tree, start with the lower branches which will then give
you space to cut the higher branches.
Recommendation: It is convenient not to do the last
cut using the weight of the branch. We recommend to
cut the branch and leave the final cut which is the last
5-10 cm. This final cut will be done from top to bottom
and very slowly so as to avoid the wood cracking.
7. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
7.1. CARE AND MAINTENANCE AFTER USE
7.1.1. EXIT ORIFICE OF THE CHAIN
OIL
Dismount the bar and check that the
oil orifice (1) is not clogged.
7.1.2. SHARPNESS OF CHAIN TEETH
Attention!: An incorrectly sharpened chain
increases the risk of kick back as well as increasing
the vibration level and possible accidents!.
To ensure that the machine cuts correctly, maintain the
chain sharpened. You must also sharpen the chain if:
• You must place more pressure to cut.
• The cut is not straight.
• There is an increase of the vibration levels.
• When cutting instead of splinters you see shavings.
Do not forget to always use security gloves when
sharpening the chain.
Make sure the chain is placed correctly once it has
been sharpened.
Use a special file for chainsaws when sharpening the
chain. Place the file between points (a) and (b) and
push the file forward maintaining a 30 angle.
File all the teeth of the chain in the same manner,
filing forward at a 30 angle.
Check the security height C, this height must be some
0.6 mm approximately. A height C larger than 0.6mm
will cause the chain to bite the wood and will require
a higher work rate from the engine and a lower height
will mean that the chain will cut badly.
