All persons responsible for the installation and
maintenance of inverters must be:
• Trained and authorized in general safety rules for
work on electric equipment.
• Familiar with local requirements, rules and
regulations for the installation.
The inverter does not provide overcurrent protection. This
must be provided by the installer. See table 5.8
The temperature of the cooling elements and components
in the inverter can exceed 70°C/158°F. There is a risk of
burns.
The inverter is to be installed in such way that hot
components cannot be touched.
To reduce the risk of fire, connect the inverter only to a
circuit provided with 125 A maximum branch-circuit
overcurrent protection in accordance with the National
®
Electrical Code
, ANSI/NFPA 70.
INFORMATION
Use 75°C or 90°C cables, either AWG copper or
AWG aluminum. See Section 2.7, page 24.
INFORMATION
The symbol for grounding conductors used in this
manual is identified in figure 2.18.
An illustration of the DC disconnector can be found in
Section 3.2.2, page 29.
INFORMATION
For information about the operating temperature
range, see Section 5.4, page 40.
Installation Guide
INFORMATION
This manual contains information about field wiring
connections and torque specifications. See Section
5.5, page 41.
INFORMATION
This device has been tested and found to comply with
the thresholds for a Class B digital device, pursuant
to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These thresholds are
intended to provide an adequate level of protection
against harmful interference when using the device in
residential areas. The inverter generates, uses and
can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation.
If this device does cause harmful interference to radio
or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the device off and on, the user is encouraged
to try to correct the interference by one or more of the
following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
