Difficult Tire/Wheels
Place the bead hook into the inboard position of the tire carriage.
Place the rim clamp on the bare wheel.
NOTE: There are two different clamps provided with the S 52A tire changer. One includes toothed jaws
for better clamping on steel wheel. The other has smooth jaws for aluminum wheels.
Rotate the wheel until the clamp is located at BOTTOM DEAD CENTER.
Place the outboard bead hook is in the working position.
Use the inboard/outboard and up/down controls to bring the wheel rim no more than 3/16" (5 mm) from the top of the
bead roller.
Place the reference mark on the hook to the edge of the wheel.
Place the tire on the tire carriage and place the tire against the wheel.
