2.3 Tire Mounting
The S 52A tire changer is capable of servicing wheels from 14.5" to 26" with a width of up to 27" (695 mm). Most steer and
drive axle tires can be considered "Standard" tires for the purpose of this manual. Wide Base, Michelin

, most
agricultural tires, and some rims would be considered "Difficult."
Tire/Wheel Preparation
Mount the wheel on the tire changer. Refer to "2.1 Wheel Locking,"
Lubricate inside and outside of both beads of the tire to be mounted with supplied mounting paste.
Lubricate the rim's outboard bead seat area.

Standard Tire/Wheels
Place one bead roller into the outboard position of the tire carriage.
Tire not shown for clarity.
Ensure the outboard bead roller is in the working position.
Use the inboard/outboard and up/down controls to bring the roller against the sidewall of the tire.
The wheel rim should be no more than 3/16" (5 mm) from the top of the bead roller.
