HGDS−...
Note
Excessive forces and torques will damage the HGDS−...
S Ensure that the maximum permissible load limits for the following are
adhered to:
tightening torques
force F and torque M
mass moment of inertia
swivel time as a function of mass moment of inertia.
These values can be found in the sections 'Technical data' and 'Characteristic
curves'.
If correctly set, the work load will reach the end position safely without a hard
impact.
Note that the HGDS−... must be at a complete stop before the screws can be
S
turned.
Proceed as follows:
S
1. Turn the gripper component into the end position using an clockwise motion.
2. Gradually pressurise port R in Fig. 14. The soft−start valve type HEL−... or
HEM−... can be used to build up the pressure gradually.
Precision adjustment of the swivel angle under pressure:
The end position previously set mechanically can sometimes change under
operating pressure.
This change occurs when the stop cam drifts from its original setting to
approach the cushioning element once a pressure load is applied.
3. Loosen the locking screw for the cushioning element. (If the locking screw is
loosened too much, the clamping component can fall out.)
