3.2.- Cleaning the steam generator.(HGV)
− Descale the steam generator on a periodic basis.
1. Turn off the appliance.
2. Turn the water emptying lever "B" (Fig. 9).
When empty return the lever to the original
position.
3. Take out plug A and pour in descaling liquid (14
litres) (Fig. 9).
Not to use hydrochloric acid for descaling.
4. After 6 hours have elapsed, empty the steam
generator, turning lever B (Fig. 9).
5. Clean with a large amount of water the inlet where the descaling liquid was poured in A
(Fig. 9).
6. Close lever B (Fig. 9) and turn on the oven in steam mode at low temperature with the
thermostat selector at zero for 10 minutes.
7. Clean the cooking chamber with a large amount of water using the shower fixture. Turn on
the oven in steam mode for 10 minutes.
8. Empty the steam generator every day.
N.B.
− Should there be a large amount of lime inside the generator, the amber pilot lamp 23 (Fig. 5)
will turn on. If this happens, the warning limiter must be reset by means of the reset button.
− After the limiter has been reset, the lime in the generator must be descaled following the
process described in point 3.2.
− If the cleaning process described above is not followed, an excessive amount of lime may
build up in the generator and will cause the red pilot lamp 24 (Fig. 5) to come on and the oven
will be rendered inoperable..
− If this happens, contact the Repair Service.
