Programming
To enable communicatio between the IBW interface and the wireless devices via
radio, run the phase in which the interface "acquires" the devices by following one of
the procedures given in chapter 5.
Warnings for programming:
• To identify on the product the LEDs and keys mentioned in the manual, see fig. 12.
• In the procedures that require the insertion (or removal) of batteries in the various
devices, see figs. 13, 14, 15, to run the operation.
• All the programming phases end automatically 2 minutes after the last key pressed.
Any changes made up to that moment are memorized anyway.
• At the end of the programming procedures, it might be necessary to run the
device search in the control unit. For this operation, follow the procedure giv-
en in the instructions manual of the control unit. The same operation can also
be run with the Oview programmer by sending the BlueBUS Search com-
mand.
5.1 - Create a new system
This procedure allows you to create a new system starting with wireless devices hav-
ing the memory totally empty (factory setting), at the time of installation.
01. Keep the IBW interface key pressed and release it after the LED turns on with a
solid green light: now the interface is ready to acquire the wireless devices.
The procedure then allows you to install a wireless device. Repeat the proce-
dure from point 02 for each wireless device you want to install.
02. Insert the batteries in the wireless device (or, if they are already present, press
and release the "T" key of the device): the IBW interface will emit a beep to con-
firm acquisition; on the device the "A" LED will start to flash green and the "B"
LEDs will also start flashing until the end of the procedure.
03. To combine additional devices with the interface, repeat, for each one, the
instructions starting from 02.
04. Lastly, press and release the key of the IBW interface key to end the procedure.
5.2 - Adding more devices to an existing system
This procedure allows you to add more wireless devices to an existing wireless net-
work without needing to again acquire the already installed devices.
01. Warning – The new wireless devices to be acquired must not have any data
in their memory. If a device has already been used on another system, you
4 – English
must reset the factory values by following the procedure described in section
5.5.
02. Keep the IBW interface key pressed and release it after the green LED comes
on. Now the LED will start to flash rapidly and the interface will attempt to com-
municate with each of the preexisting devices in the system (in the wireless
devices the "A" LED will start to flash green and the "B" LEDs will also start flash-
ing). At the end, the interface LED turns on solid green putting the interface in
the phase of "radio listening" to acquire new devices.
Attention! – If a given device does not communicate, the interface will emit a
beep for 10 seconds. If in the meantime no other key is pressed, after 10 sec-
onds the interface interrupts the acquisition phase and maintains the system in
the previous state.
03. Insert the batteries in the device to be added (or, if they are already present,
press and release the "T" key of the device): the IBW interface will emit a beep to
confirm acquisition and on the device the "A" LED will start to flash green and
the "B" LEDs will also start flashing until the end of the procedure.
04. To combine additional devices with the interface, repeat for each one the
instructions starting from 03.
05. Lastly, press and release the IBW interface key to end the procedure.
5.3 - Removing one or more devices from an existing
system
This procedure allows you to remove one or more wireless devices from an existing
wireless network without needing to reacquire and/or re-install the entire system
from the beginning.
01. Remove the batteries from the device you intend to remove, or reset the factory
values according to the procedure described in paragraph 5.5 so the device can
no longer communicate.
02. Keep the IBW interface key pressed and release it after the green LED comes
on. After release, the interface LED starts flashing rapidly and the interface
will try to communicate with each of the preexisting devices of the system (all
the LEDs of the devices will start to flash). At the end of this phase, the inter-
face will emit a beep for 10 seconds to indicate the lack of response of the
device(s) to be removed. Within the beep duration, press and release the
interface key to confirm removal of the device(s): in the interface the LED
turns on solid green.
If you want to acquire additional devices: program them as indicated in the pro-
cedure 5.2, from point 03; if not, go on to the next point.
03. Terminate the procedure by pressing and releasing the IBW interface key: this
key emits two beeps (beep-beep) to confirm that the device(s) has/have been
removed successfully.
