System diagnostics
7.1 - IBW interface signals
If the IBW interface has no wireless device acquired, it will flash red once per second;
otherwise it will flash as described under sections 7.1.1 and 7.1.2.
7.1.1 - Signals with control unit on stand-by
Flashes
Meaning
1 red flash:
The interface is not combined with any device
1 green flash, 1 green flash: The interface is connected with at least one device;
the combined devices respond correctly; the
combined devices have a fully charged battery
1 red flash, 1 green flash:
At least one of the combined devices has an
uncharged battery; the combined devices respond
correctly
1 green flash, 1 red flash:
the combined devices have a fully charged battery;
in the previous maneuvers, at least one of the
devices had communication problems
1 red flash, 1 red flash:
At least one of the combined devices has an
uncharged battery; in the previous maneuvers, at
least one of the devices had communication
problems
In all cases the flashing is updated at the end of each maneuver or when the control
unit turns on again after a stand-by period. Each time the flashing is updated, if an
alarm situation is detected (e.g. uncharged battery or weak signal of one of the
devices), the buzzer emits the following type of sound: "beep-beeeeep".
7.1.2 - Signaling during a maneuver/inspection
The green LED flashes continuously and intermittently; when a safety device
(TCW1/2 o PHW) signals a dangerous situation, the red LED comes on.
7.2 - Signals of the PHW, TCW1, TCW2 and LLW devices
7.2.1 - Signaling with control unit on stand-by
When the control unit is stopped (not maneuvering), and you remove the battery
from the device in question and put it back, the device will execute the following sig-
nals:
Flashes
Meaning
1 red flash:
The transmitter is not combined with any receiver
1 red flash, 1 red flash:
The device is not combined with any interface and
the attempt to combine it was unsuccessful
1 green flash, 1 red flash:
The device is not combined with any interface but
The combined interface does not respond
1 green flash, 1 green flash: The device is combined with an interface and
the combined interface does not respond
properly
7.2.2 - Signaling during a maneuver
• Meaning of color of "A" LED:
green color = charged battery; red color = uncharged battery.
• Meaning of flash frequency of "A" LED:
– PHW photocells (RX element): in the RX element of the device, the flashing
frequency of the "A" LED depends on the quality of the alignment. In particular,
the weaker the optical signal received from the RX cell, the more frequent the
flashing becomes until it becomes a solid light (= complete interruption of beam) .
When the received signal is excellent, the light flashes once per second with 10%
duty cycle.
– PHW photocells (TX element) and LLW luminous signaler: on these devices
the "A" LED emits one flash per second with a 10% duty cycle.
– TCW1/2 Sensor: if the sensitive edge is not pressed, the "A" LED flashes once
per second with 10% duty cycle; on the contrary, if the sensitive edge is pressed,
the LED stays on solid.
• Meaning of color of "B" LED:
In the devices with a photovoltaic cell (TCW2, PHW, LLW) the "B" LED (the central
one) comes on once every four seconds when the device is charging the battery or
when there is sufficient solar radiation.
7.3 - Procedure for device "operation check"
This procedure allows you to run diagnostics on all the devices present in a wireless
network. It can be run at any time and allows you to ascertain the state of the sensi-
tive edge, the photocells, the flasher and the quality of the radio signal. The proce-
dure is activated as follows:
01. Press and release the interface key to enter the "operation check" mode.
02. Perform the checks described under the following points.
03. Lastly, press and release the IBW interface key to exit the "operation check", or
wait two minutes.
