5.4 - Replacing the interface in an existing system
This procedure allows you to replace the IBW interface in an existing system. Rather
than deleting the combination in all the wireless devices present and then proceed to
acquire them one by one, this procedure allows the new interface perform a simple
operation to acquire all the devices present by using one of them. Warning – if the
new interface comes from another system, before starting the procedure, reset the
factory values according to the procedure in section 5.5.
01. Select any wireless device from among those existing in the system and remove
it from the base so you can access its "T" key. Then bring it closer to the new
interface that you want to install.
02. On the new interface: keep the key pressed for about 10 seconds and release
it after the red LED comes on.
03. On the new interface: press the key twice; after 5 seconds the red LED starts
to flash, indicating that it is in the "waiting" phase.
04. On the wireless device (the one you selected under point 01): keep the "T" key
pressed until the "A" LED turns on solid red. Then press the "T" key another two
times. After 5 seconds, the red LED and the green LED start to flash, indicating that
the data of the old installation starts to be transmitted to the new IBW interface.
On the new interface: when searching data, the green LED also starts flashing
(the red LED is already flashing) and the devices emit a beep.
05. After the time interval required to search for all the wireless devices present, in
the new interface, the LED becomes solid green and in the devices the "A"
(green light) and "B" LEDs start to flash . Then the new interface will emit a beep
for each device acquired: for example, if in the old installation there were seven
wireless devices, the interface will emit seven beeps.
06. Finally, terminate the procedure by pressing and releasing the interface key.
5.5 - Deleting the memory from the interface and the
devices
