Adjust the Retroreflective Trigger (P/N 340 274)
Use this procedure to adjust the retroreflective trigger
so that it sends an output signal to the control unit
when it detects a product (dark operate), as opposed
to when it does not detect a product (light operate).
Refer to the instructions provided with the trigger for
additional information.
1. Remove the acrylic cover from the back of the
trigger.
2. Turn the GAIN adjustment fully clockwise
(maximum sensitivity). The adjustment is clutched
and will click when it reaches the end of its range.
3. Turn the LIGHT/DARK adjustment fully
counterclockwise to the dark operate (D.O)
position.
4. Turn the system power switch on.
5. Adjust the position of the trigger, in small
increments, until the red LED reaches its fastest
pulse rate, and then tighten the trigger mount.
6. While watching the yellow trigger light on the
control unit, move a product down the production
line and past the trigger.
The trigger light should turn on when the product is
in front of the trigger.
