Info
FLEXA TOWER and FLEXA TOWER COMPACT shower enclo-
sures are available in the following range of models: ELT4, ELT8,
ELT19 BT.
All models can also be supplied with a thermostatic mixer instead
of the classic single-lever control provided that it is requested up-
on ordering.
These shower enclosures have been designed and built so that in-
stallation only requires the assembly of the components (which
are packed separately).
IMPORTANT: check that the goods are intact on ar-
rival, so that any claims made to the forwarding a-
gent will be prompt.
WE RECOM M END THAT YOU CH ECK THAT ALL THE
ARRANGEMENTS COMPLY WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS
FOR PRE-INSTALLATION.
I
These shower units must only be installed in finished corners
(where the tiles have already been fitted) without baseboards.
I
The shower base is supplied with a compact siphoned drainage
column and rollers to easily move the shower enclosure. As a result,
the floor too must be finished and tiled.
If maintenance is necessary, the shower enclosure must be moved
away from the wall. Therefore, there must be no obstacle whatso-
ever hindering the removal of the shower enclosure from the wall
i
and its moving (
3).
The assembly and installation of the shower enclosure must be
carried out in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instruc-
tions and by two people, owing to the considerable weight of
the components to be handled.
Preparing hydraulic and electrical connections
i
I
(
4 or 5) The installation of the FLEXA TOWER and
FLEXA TOWER COMPACT requires no more than one connec-
tion to the hot and cold water pipeline (water supply pipe diam-
eter: minimum 14 mm).
The outlets (90° downward-facing, 1/2" male couplings) must be
prepared in the wall.
When installing, these outlets are to be connected to the mixer
group (fitted with female couplings), by means of two 95-cm 1/2"
flexible hoses (provided).
I
When installing models with single-lever control, the installa-
tion of suitably sized filters (to avoid narrowing) onto the wall
outlets is recommended to limit maintenance of the solenoid
valve filters (access to which can be gained only by moving the
shower enclosure).
These filters are not necessary in those models featuring the ther-
mostatic mixer, as they are already equipped with filters.
i
I
(
4 or 5) In order to make connections easy during installa-
tion, it is advisable to prepare a wall drainage point (ø 40 mm) at
floor level.
i
I
(
4 or 5) A connection to the electric mains and to the
earthed system needs to be made by using an approved cable at
least 1.5 m long and prepared as shown.
I
If you wish to connect the shower enclosure to an alarm circuit,
it will also be necessary to prepare a bipolar cable (see chapter
"Alarm connection").
Shower base and compensators installation
Remove the shower base from the packaging, which also contains
the instruction manual, a hardware bag, a flexible hose (which is
used to connect the shower base's drainage column to the wall-
mounted drain), the top, the top cover and the front panels.
i
I
(
4 or 5) Position the shower base in the corner in which
it is to be installed and connect the flexible hose to the shower
base's drainage column. Then apply silicone accurately to the
connection points.
At this stage it is advisable to check that the shower
base's drainage column and the supplied flexible hose
are perfectly watertight. Temporarily connect the flexible
hose to the wall-mounted drain (
bucket of water onto the shower base. Remember to lift
the fabric-finish hose connected to the side of the
drainage column.
I
To assemble the various components in the correct way, the
walls of the installation corner must be straight.
Wall compensators let you recover crookedness by up to 5 mm.
Greater differences can be corrected by using appropriate spac-
ers, or by pulling the shower tray away from the wall.
i
I
(
6, detail 1) Level the shower base by means of the ad-
justable feet. Then block them in the chosen position by means of
the hexagonal nuts.
i
(
6, detail 3) In correspondence of metal brackets, mark the ex-
act position of the holes for fastening the shower base to the wall.
i
I
(
6, detail 2) By using the shower base's frame as reference
point, mark the exact positions of the compensators.
i
I
(
6, detail 2) Take the compensators out of the glass panels'
packaging and lay them against the wall.
Once the wall's perpendicularity has been verified, mark the exact
position of the holes inside the compensators.
i
I
(
7) By means of the hexagonal nuts, lower the front rollers
and move the shower base to make the installation of the other
components easier.
i
I
(
7) Drill holes to fasten the compensators and the shower
tray (previously marked) and insert the pins (in the hardware fit-
tings pack).
