INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION AND USE
FOREWORD
We would like to thank you for choosing
our machine. We are sure you will be com-
pletely satisfied. To obtain reliable perform-
ance, carefully follow the instructions con-
tained in this manual.
Also, please be advised that the text to be
considered in case of disputes is our origi-
nal text in Italian.
1. GUARANTEE
The machine is guaranteed for twelve (12)
months from the date when the unit or any
of its integrating parts was purchased.
The guarantee provides for the replacement
of any parts that malfunction due to proven
manufacturing defects, and will be hon-
oured directly by your supplier.
The cost of labour for service under the
guarantee is the responsibility of the buyer,
as are the costs of transport and packing,
and all shipping risks.
To obtain service under the guarantee, the
defective parts must be returned post-paid
and duty-free along with a written statement
of the model and serial number of the ma-
chine and a description of the malfunction.
The guarantee does not apply to equipment
that has been damaged due to negligence,
improper connection, improper installation,
failure to follow installation or operating
instructions, or changes made to such in-
structions by unauthorised personnel. The
guarantee also does not apply if the serial
number has been altered, cancelled or re-
moved. Finally, the guarantee does not ap-
ply to components subject to wear, such as
belts, membranes and rubber parts in gen-
eral.
2. INTRODUCTION
The warnings ATTENTION and IMPOR-
TANT appearing in this manual cannot
cover all possible situations.
It is therefore important to remember that
common sense, care and caution cannot be
provided by the manufacturer, but must be
kept in mind by persons who install, main-
tain and/or operate the dryer.
If you or any unqualified person performs
maintenance on the machine, you must take
full responsibility for any damage caused
to persons or property.
Please keep this instruction manual. If the
machine is sold, make sure the manual is
included.
Before taking the machine out of service,
remove the door and filter access door.
Do not use high temperatures to dry syn-
thetic fabrics or fabrics that contain plastic.
Use this machine only to dry garments
whose care labels specify that rotary ma-
chine dryers can be used. If fibreglass fab-
rics are dried, clean the drum with a damp
cloth at the end of the drying cycle.
When servicing the machine, we strongly
recommend using original replacement
parts.
The manufacturer reserves the right to up-
date this manual and/or to modify the ma-
chine's mechanical systems, components
and accessories when such changes are con-
sidered to be necessary for improving the
machine or when they are mandated by
manufacturing or commercial requirements.
As a result, the descriptions and illustrations
contained in this manual are not considered
to be final and binding on the manufacturer.
3. LIMITATIONS, PROHIBITIONS
AND IMPROPER USES OF THE MA-
CHINE
Before carrying out cleaning or maintenance
operations on the machine, disconnect it
from the power mains. In case of accident,
the manufacturer declines all liability for
injury to the operator or other persons dur-
ing machine operation, cleaning or mainte-
nance.
Certain fundamental rules must be followed
while operating electrical or electronic
equipment. In particular, do not touch the
machine when the hands or feet are wet or
moist. Do not operate the machine when
you are barefoot, and do not expose the
machine to harmful environmental elements
(rain, salt, brine, etc.). Do not let children
or untrained personnel operate the machine
unless they are supervised properly. Do not
attempt to dry garments that have not been
spun-dried or which are dripping wet. The
moisture content in the laundry before dry-
ing must not exceed 120%.
Do not smoke in the area around the dryer
or during its operation. Do not bypass or
remove the safety systems. Never direct
sprays of water onto the machine, and make
12
sure the dryer is not installed in areas where
such sprays may occur.
ATTENTION
Any use not specifically indicated in this
manual is considered to be dangerous,
and the manufacturer declines all respon-
sibility for any injury or damage which
occurs due to improper, incorrect or ir-
rational operation.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE IN-
STALLER
4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRANSPORT-
ING, UNPACKING AND STORING
THE MACHINE
4.1 TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE
If the machine must be transported inside a
building, use the pallet provided or equiva-
lent apparatus, only. Use a manual or elec-
tric lift truck which is large enough to trans-
port the machine and has a sufficiently high
lifting capacity (see the technical specifi-
cations). Make sure the dryer can be moved
over or around obstacles such as stairs,
doors, etc.
Never move the machine by pushing or
pulling its sides or any other part.
If the machine must be shipped, use the
original crating and packing materials,
which provide the necessary stability dur-
ing transport.
4.2 STORAGE
If the machine must be stored for a long time
before it is used, leave it in its original crat-
ing and packing materials, which provide
excellent protection. Make sure that the
conditions in the storage area meet the
specifications described in the paragraph
entitled, "Environmental conditions re-
quired for correct machine operation".
If the machine must be shut down for long
periods after it has been used, make sure
that it is physically disconnected from the
power mains and steam or gas feed lines.
Also, cover it with its original protective
sack.
