Combustion air

FIRETRONIX must only be installed in locations with a sufficient supply of combustion air. For the fireplace to work correctly the
firebox must receive combustion air through a 125 mm diameter aluminium pipe, fitted to a fireplacepipe connection with a dam-
per (3).
Connection to the external air supply must have a usable through diameter of at least 120 cm² along its entire length.
However, should the volume of air seem scarce and the type of building where the fireplace is installed be particularly air-tight,
an extra air intake of 120 cm² must be installed.
The supply of combustion air to the firebox has bee carefully designed to guarantee optimum combustion, a gentle flame and
clean glass.
- primary combustion air
of primary air can be adjusted in relation to the flue draw using a moving baffle (No.14 Illustr.1 Page 20) installed on the front
of the firebox.
Poor flue draws may need a primary air intake of a larger diameter, whilst it may need reducing for strong flue draws.
- secondary combustion air
it has been heated. The amount of secondary and glass-cleaning air is adjusted automatically.
THE TECHNOLOGY
Mimic panel
Used to program and manage the performance of the
fireplace to obtain the desired temperature and select
the power level (P1/P2/P3) and the heating air speed.
The automatic external air intake guarantees that the
amount of air supplied matches the various combustion
Safety
In the event of a blackout, the electromagnet (1) opens
the smoke damper immediately, evacuating the smoke.
Regulates the amount of primary combustion air ente-
ring the firebox based on the target smoke temperature
Micro switch
When the door is raised, the micro switch (2) located at
the base of the frame of the opening activates the elec-
tromagnet opening the smoke damper
immediately.
Regulates the position of the smoke damper (degree of
opening) managing combustion in relation to the perfor-
mance required and set on the mimic panel.
