4. WIRING AND STARTUP
Before installing the EURO/1MF unit, carefully read the " General Safety Instructions ".
Secure the case through the appropriate mounting holes.
Mount a switch/isolator on to the power line as required by the applicable regulations.
Power off before connecting power cables.
Install the cable fittings provided and route the cables keeping the 230VAC power cables separate from the 24VDC control ones (see
diagram on page 12)
Connect the power and control cables as shown in the diagram on page 12, bearing in mind the following:
Connect the safety devices to the drive to which the unit is being installed (see paragraph 6 on page 3).
Terminal 41 is to be connected only if the devices with incorporated self-test function (Prastel FOTO/30SDE, FOTOTEST/2, etc.) are
being installed.
Terminal 41 is not to be connected if the Prastel photocell amplifier (current model FT/11SK) is plugged in (see Fig. 2) as the connection
is already made internally.
The STOP button must be of the manual release type.
Before powering, lock the STOP button in order to carry out the so-called "OPERATOR IN ATTENDANCE" manoeuvres via the OPEN
and CLOSE contacts (NO contacts to be connected to terminals 1 and 4 (close) and 1 and 5 (open) of the control terminal strip) (see
diagram on page 12). Opening and closing manoeuvres are made by keeping the aforementioned contacts closed.
Warning: During "OPERATOR IN ATTENDANCE" manoeuvres all safety devices are disabled.
Check via function 99 that all terminal strip inputs have been properly connected and are correctly working (see Section 8 of page 8 for a
full description of this function). Program unit functions as described in Section 7 on page 4 ( Programming the Unit ). When
programming, set the parameters so as to ensure maximum operating safety of the automatic access. Open and close the automatic
access several times to check for correct functioning both of the automatic drive and of all safeties.
Release the STOP button and perform all possible manoeuvres via the radio or manual controls (terminals 1-4, 1-5, 1-20) to check for
correct functioning of the safety devices. Follow the instructions in Section 11 on page 10 & 11 ( Operation ) and in Sections 7 & 8 on
pages 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 ( Programming the Unit ).
