7. PROGRAMMING THE UNIT

Upon powering the unit, the "EP" function appears on the display. If the two programming keys are pressed at the same time within 4 seconds
from being powered (see Fig. 1), the unit drops to the pre-set values indicated in the table on page 8. Four seconds after being powered the
unit aims at function "0". At this point program the unit as follows:
Access function selection by pressing any of the two keys.
Select the function to be programmed by pressing either of the two keys as required (the LH key to decrease or the RH key to increase).
Press the two programming keys simultaneously to change function value. The display will start flashing; change the set value by
pressing the two keys separately (the right one to decrease, the left one to increase)
If other functions need to be programmed, press the two keys simultaneously and repeat the aforementioned steps. Upon completion, exit
from display flashing status by pressing the two keys simultaneously. Wait for 10 seconds until display goes off (do not perform any other
operation during this period).
Note: For best programming, also see the Section " Operation " on page 10 & 11.

8. PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS

FUNCTION 0 - Applied motor force setting (TRIAC) both during opening and closing
This function permits to set applied motor force both during opening and during closing from minimum (50%) to maximum
(100%).
Disable the "obstacle detection" function (i.e., set function 1 to "0").
Depending on ambient and installation conditions, set to appropriate value, bearing in mind that:
5 0 = minimum force (50%)
00 = maximum force (100%)
Motor force at pick-up peaks for 1.5 sec. Before any gate movement, a self-test is conducted on the TRIAC (see Section 9,
Note:
" Error Messages on the Display "). This function may be modified for the closing phase by means of function 69; bear in
mind that every time function "0" is modified, function 69 is automatically modified accordingly. (Typical swinging door
application).
FUNCTION 1 - Obstacle detection sensitivity both in opening and closing
This function is used for setting obstacle detection sensitivity both during opening and closing and permits to stop the gate
depending on the obstacle detected (FUNCTION 3).
Set motor force ( Function 0 ) to the lowest value required for the automatic gate to move.
Set detection sensitivity value bearing in mind that:
0
= obstacle detection de-activation
10 = maximum sensitivity i.e., even a minimum resistance is sufficient for the obstacle to be detected
Note:
This sensitivity may be modified by means of function 70 for the closing phase only. Bear in mind that every time function "1"
is modified, function 70 is automatically modified accordingly. (Typical swinging door application).
FUNCTION 2 - Warning Light Mode
This function is used for setting the warning light to either fixed or flashing.
Set value to:
0
= for a 230VAC max 60W flashing light (built-in flashing circuit)
Note: If Function 10 (Dwell time) was set to a value greater than 1, and if the other functions were set to permit the automatic
closing of the gate, power is constantly supplied to the indicator during the dwell time; the typical application consists in
making a parallel connection between the warning light and the courtesy light, active while the automatic access is opening
or closing. This light goes off impulsively to signal the beginning of the automatic access movement (startup of the pre-
flashing according to the manoeuvre to be performed).
1
= for a 230VAC max 60W fixed light (non-built-in flashing circuit)
