6 Maintenance: cleaning the sensor
In case of any failure or malfunction, the equipment in which the sensor is installed, needs
to be in a safe condition (depressurized, empty, rinse, vent, etc.).
Contaminated conductivity cells can give false indications. If contamination is suspected,
dismount the conductivity cell and clean the electrodes and the insulation between the
electrodes with a soft cloth. A mild detergent or a highly diluted solution (less than 0.5%
by weight) of acid, such as nitric acid, is suitable to use as a cleaning solution (always
handle acids with caution!).
Only use cleaning agents that are compatible with the materials to be cleaned. In addition,
do not use coarse materials such as steel wool for cleaning as they will damage the
surface.
Rinse the conductivity cell thoroughly with distilled water before installation.
7 Disposal
The user is responsible for the proper disposal of the conductivity sensor. The sensor
contains electronic components that must be disposed of correctly in order to avoid
hazards to people or to the environment.
8 Warranty
Warranted free of manufacturing defects for a term of 12 months after delivery.

9 Storage conditions

Inspect the instrument immediately after receiving for any transport damage. The sensor
should be stored in a dry, clean and protected area until the time of installation. If the
sensor has been removed from the process, it should be thoroughly cleaned and dried.
