Condensation drain holes
It is of special importance with water-cooled motors that
the condensation drain holes are located in the correct
position (fi g. 1). Check that the condensation drain
holes face downwards, especially when the mounting
arrangement differs from standard.
Water leakage guard and switch
amplifi er
As an option, there is the possibility to order the motors
with a water leakage guard and switch amplifi er. The
switch amplifi er relay output N-131... serves as an
interface between electrical signals. The input signals of
NAMUR initiators, mechanical contacts or optocouplers
are transmitted through relay switching contacts. The
input, output and power supply circuits are safe galvanic
separated.
The supply voltage for the relay can be 110/220 AC or
+10... +30 V DC and this is specifi ed at the latest at the
order stage.
Figure 2 shows a typical connection diagram for hori-
zontal mounting.
Vertical mounting has only one leakage sensor while
horizontal mounting has two.
The sensors are connected in the lowest part of the
motor.
The capacitive sensor activates on moisture and the
relay transmits the alarm signal to the control board.
The relay is usually installed in the control panel.
