pressures can be read on the pressure gauge.
The reserve of water in the bladder means that water can be
drawn without starting the pump.
5.2 Mounting
- The borehole or pumping station has to be achieved according to
good practice and professional rules.
- Check that the water supply into the borehole or the well is appro-
priate relating to the output of the pumps set.
- The pump is lowered using a rope fixed on the pump.
- To ensure that the pump never runs dry, check that the water level
never goes below the discharge port even in periods of low water
levels.
For installation into a deep well (well diameter lar-
ATTENTION !
ger than borehole) or for horizontal operation we
recommend using a tube around the pump and the motor to main-
tain an appropriate cooling of the motor (See FIG. 1 - item a).
- Ensure that the inserted tube into the bore has a constant diame-
ter and allows a free lowering of the unit.
- Do not lower the unit with help of the electric cable.
- Perform all electric connections of conductors with the supply
cable of the motor before lowering the unit.
- In final position, the unit must be hanging at least 0.30 m above the
bottom of the borehole well (See FIG. 1).
- It is required to fix the location identification plate closed to the
borehole to ensure the availability of all characteristics of the ins-
tallation.
- Before lowering (and during lowering in a deep borehole), the insu-
lation resistance of the motor and cord must be measured several
times (at least 2 Mohm).
5.3 Hydraulic connections (See FIG. 1)

• Bladder vessel 18 liters
• Pressure contactor
• Insulation valve
• Pressure gauge
• Nipple 5 ways

PAP/AC version
Rigid or hose pipe 1" - Ø 32 mm.
Use the nipples supplied in the kit according to the following instruc-
tion :
- Undo the nut, leave the nut on the fitting while inserting the pipe.
- Twist the pipe into the fitting through the rubber seal to the pipe
stop.
- Tighten the nut firmly. Use a wrench.
PAP/H18 version
Rigid pipe 1" - Ø 32 mm.
- Tighten the ensemble (item 8) on the tee (item 9) before to
connect the motor electric cable with the pressure contactor.
- Check that the nipple of the pressure gauge (item 11) is located at
the highest point.

5.4 Electrical connections

The electrical connection and checking work must be done
by a licenced electrician and in accordance with the local
standards in force.
- Check the voltage available on the mains
- Do not forget to earth connection.
- Use a cable meeting local standards.
- The motor must be protected by a circuit-breaker providing thermal
and magnetic protection.
6. STARTING
The pressure measured at the borehole outlet with
ATTENTION !
the valve closed is the pump head at zero flow less
the height between ground level and the water level.
6.1 Operation
ATTENTION !
Never let the pump run dry, however briefly.
- Never operate for more than two minutes with the discharge valve
fully closed.
- Recheck the electrical connections, the electrical protection, and
the rating(s) of the fuse(s).
- Measure the current on each phase and compare with the nomi-
nal values marked on the data plate.
- Do not exceed the current rating of the motor.
- Measure the supply voltage with the motor running.
Acceptable tolerance : ± 10 % of U
- Drive all air out of the discharge tube to avoid a ram effect when
starting.
- Open one tap during the pump starting.
6.2 Adjustment
6.2.1 PAC/AC version
The ACSON threshold is adjusted at 1.5 bar in factory.
Adjustment of the starting pressure of the pump
If the water column Delivery Pressure is higher than 15 m, the pump
can not start again with the starting pressure preset in the factory. It
is also required to change this adjustment with the screw
(See FIG. 4 - item 7).
- Pump is stopped, tap is opened, read the pressure due to the water
column on the presssure gauge and turn the screw in the sense +
up to pump starting.
- Make a precise adjustment during other ON-OFF cycles : read the
starting pressure on the pressure gauge and move the screw in the
required sense + or -.
6.2.2 PAP/H18 version
Pressurization of vessel
- Check the vessel pressure and correct if necessary by pressurizing
via the vessel valve (See FIG. 1 - item 10).
The pressure must be 0.3 bar less than the pump starting pressure.
Pressure gauge
- Cut the nipple (See FIG. 1 - item 11) of pressure gauge to vent it.
Adjustment of pressure contactor (See FIG. 3)
The adjustment can only be made with the equipment pressurized.
Principle : The adjustment is made by turning the nut (item 1) to adjust
the high point (stopping of pump) and the nut (item 2) to adjust the
low point (starting).
- Turn the nut (item1) clockwise: the value of the high point increases.
- Turn the nut (item 2) clockwise: the value of the low point decreases
(the difference increases).
Before adjusting the pressure contactor, choose the starting and
stopping pressures.
We recommend for the pump type D3/DB3 0115 MP :
Starting : 1.5 bar - Stopping : 2.8 bar
We recommend for the pump type D3/DB3 0123 MP :
Starting : 3 bar - Stopping : 6 bar
