ASSEMBLY AND HOOK-UP INFORMATION
1. Heater model MHS15T and MHS30T are packaged com-
plete.Propanecylinders(tanks)arenotincludedwith
heater model.
2. Removeheaterfromcarton.
3. UseonlyvaporwithdrawalLPgascylindersconstructed
forusewithpropaneonly(HD-5)andmarkedinaccor-
dance with the specifications for LP gas cylinders of the
U.S.DepartmentofTransportation(DOTSPEC.39).
4. Thisheatermustbeusedonlywithavaporwithdrawal
LPgasbulktankequippedwithastandardPOLvalve
–donotusethisheateronbulktanksgreaterthan20
poundsLPGcapacity(50poundswatercapacity).
5a. MHS30T Dual Burner Model (see Figure 1.)
•AssemblyoftheMHS30TrequiresaPhillpsscrew-
driver.
• Thetankcollarbracketmustbeassembledbefore
the heater can be attached to the propane tank.
• Removescrewsfrommanifoldcenterplateand
retain for later use.
• Alignboltholesintankcollarbracketwithbolt
holes in center plate on manifold such that the
heater is facing outward once attached to cylinder
collar.
• Attachwithscrewsremovedabove,making
sure that tip switch bracket is between tank collar
bracket and manifold center plate.
• Placeheaterontotankwithtankcollarbracketover
tank collar. Mounting bolt knob should be posi-
tioned to the outside of tank collar.
• Firmlysecuretotankbyhand-tighteningmounting
boltknob.Donotovertighten.
• Makesureheaterregulatorisinthe"OFF"position.
• Insertregulator'sconnectorintotank'svalveand
turnleft(counterclock-wise)withhandasmuchas
possible.Donotovertighten.
5b. MHS15T Single Burner Model (See Figure 2.)
• Besureheaterisfacingawayfromtank.
• Insertregulatorconnectorintotankvalveoutlet
fittingandturnleft(counterclock-wise)untilfully
tightened.Donotovertighten.(SeeFigure2a)
• Placeheatersupportaroundventuriandslideclip
endsontopropanecylindercollar.Use1/4"-20x

6. Operateonlyonastable,levelsurface.
7. Openpropanetankvalveslowly.
8. Checkallfittingsforleaks.Applya50/50mixtureof
liquidsoapandwatertoalljoints.Bubblesforming
indicate a leaking connection. Correct all leaks before
proceeding.
WARNING
Nevertouchheaterwhileinoperationtoavoidinjury.
Moveheaterbygraspingthepropanecylindercarefully.
9. The heater should be inspected before each use and at
leastannuallybyaqualifiedserviceperson.
10.Thehoseassemblyshallbevisuallyinspectedpriorto
useofheater.Ifitisevidentthereisexcessiveabrasion
or wear, or the hose is cut, it must be replaced prior to
the heater being put into operation. Replacement hose
assembly shall be Mr. Heater hose assembly as listed in
the parts list.
11. Minimuminletgaspressureis20psi.
12. Maximuminletgaspressureis120psi(equivalenttoan
ambienttemperatureof75˚F(24˚C)).
