Assembling the crank handle

Type 351, 501, 901
Use a torque wrench for tightening.
Tightening torque 15 Nm.
The crank handle must be able to make at least a
¼ turn to the left without moving the drive shaft or
the rope drum.
1. Remove the hexagon head screw, spring lock
washer and washer from the drive shaft (
2. Block off the rope drum (
(e.g. with a screwdriver)
3. Screw the crank handle onto the drive shaft until
the crank handle nut is against the brake disc.
4. Slide the washer on.
5. Push the spring lock washer on, screw in the
hexagon head screw and tighten it.
6. Remove the item blocking the rope drum.
7. Push the cover on (
Type 651D
1. Push crank handle onto the drive shaft (
2. Insert the locking pins.
3. Push crank handle onto the drive shaft at 180° to
crank handle ( 3 -b).
4. Insert the locking pin.
Type 901A, 1201A
1. Pull out the safety button (
2. Push the crank handle onto the drive shaft
( 4 -b).
The safety button should automatically click into
place.

Fastening the rope
Caution!
Only use ropes whose carabiner hooks are at-
tached with a pressed rope loop.
When under load, the rope must be wound around
the drum at least twice.
Mark the rope run-out with colouring (
Type 351, 501, 901, 651D, 901A
1. Feed the steel rope through the long hole of the
drum from the inside (
2. Insert the end of the rope into the clamp in a large
loop ( 6 -b).
3. Lightly screw in the hexagonal nut.
4. Pull the loop back up to the clamp and tighten the
hexagonal nut (
Tightening torque: max. 10 Nm
5. Wind in the rope.
Type 1201A
1. Feed the steel rope through the long hole of the
drum from the inside.
2. Insert the steel rope into the clamping piece on the
rope drum.
3. Clamp the steel rope using the two Allen screws
( 7 -a).
4. Wind in the rope.
