CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS BEFORE AND AFTER OFF-ROAD USE
To avoid trouble during operation, it is advisable to perform a few checks and
maintenance operations before and after riding. In addition to making your vehicle
safer, a few minutes spent carrying out these operations will enable you to save
time and money.
Follow these steps:

NUTS AND BOLTS Check the tightening of all nuts and bolts.

Note
Check for the presence of the vehicle identifi cation papers.
In cold weather, it is advisable to warm up the engine by letting it idle for a few
moments before starting off.
The vehicle needs to be carefully washed every time it is used over rough ground.

Check the infl ating pressures, the general condition, and the
tread depth (see page 9).
Check the tensioning.
Check the tension (play = 20 mm) and if necessary grease.
Clean the fi lter and wet it with oil (see page 48).
