Factory Service

6.1

Owner Registration

After the winch is purchased the owner (user) must log on to http://us.msasafety.com/product Registration to register
their product. Registering your product provides MSA with information vital to the maintenance of the device. Be sure
to provide the permanent address and phone number of the owner and not the temporary address and phone number
of a job site or temporary office.
6.2

Factory Service and Repair

Contact MSA service at 1-800-672-2222 to arrange for inspection and service of a winch.
6.3

Re-sale

If this product is re-sold, it is essential for the safety of the user that the reseller provides these user instructions in the
language of the country to which this Winch is to be sold. Contact MSA at 1-800-672-2222 for the availability of instruc-
tions.
6.4

Service and Inspection Logs

MSA recommends that the winch be formally inspected at least every 6 months, and immediately before it is used to
carry personnel. It is the responsibility of the user and the user's management to perform timely formal inspections, and
to log such inspections in section 5.
