5.7.6 Compensating the run-out
1. Release parking brake.
2. Disengage the securing cable of the universal clamp
at the rim.
3. Straighten the steering wheel.
4. Mount the steering wheel arrester.
5. Select <F3>:
 Run-out compensation is initiated.

The vehicle must be moved on the same level. There-
fore, the roll-off track must be flat.

Run-out compensation can only be performed by
pushing the vehicle.
i
Do not step between the camera and the measure-
ment boards during measurement.
6. Push the vehicle back by an approx. 40° wheel rota-
tion in direction opposite to travel:
 Message STOP is displayed.

7. Push the vehicle in direction of travel:
 Message STOP is displayed.
Abb. 36: Move vehicle forward

If the failure indication "Backboard missing" appears
on pushing the vehicle backwards, push it slowly
forwards until the message "Rolling distance OK" is
displayed.

The process can also be viewed by way of the LED dis-
play next to the cameras.
One line displays the direction of movement, the other
line displays the process progress.

In case of an error during run-out compensation, the
following message is displayed.

Repeat run-out compensation.

The vehicle can also be measured without run-out
compensation:
8. Select <Ctrl + F3>:
 Dialog box Deactivate run-out compensation is
opened.

9. Select <F3> or <Continue>.

The measuring accuracy is limited following the
measurement of the vehicle without run-out com-
pensation.
