5.7.7 Steering angle routine

Castor, steering axis inclination and steering center
measurement.
!
Mount the brake clamp during measurement of the
castor to avoid undesired movements of the vehicle.

Do not step between the camera and the measure-
ment boards during measurement.
1. Select <F3> or <Continue>:
 Steering angle routine is started.
2. Remove the steering wheel arrester.

Adjust steering center:
1. Determine the measurement starting point (center
steering position) before taking steering action.

Adjustment of steering angle (20 0 or 10 0) possible
in current screen with the button in the navigation
bar.

Recommended setting 20 0.
2. Turn steering to the left by 20 0 or 10 ° (depending
on program setting).

3. Turn steering to left.
4. From center position, turn steering to the right by
20 0 or 10 0 (depending on program setting).

Follow direction arrows for steering wheel direction
until "OK" is displayed on the screen or measure-
ment is finalized.

The progress can also be viewed by way of the LED cir-
cuit board next to the camera.
One line displays the direction of movement, the other
line displays the process progress.
