CAUTION
Work on the 127 V supply system may only be carried
out by authorised electricians! The line-side fuse is to
be disconnected when working on the lighting unit.

a. General information about installation
The Dimmer 6590U-127-500 is installed in a conventional
flush-mounted box in accordance with DIN 49073, Part 1; it
must only be operated with the appurtenant covers.
Refer to the connection diagrams in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4.
The dimmer 6590U-127-500 heats up when in operation,
since a portion of the installed load is converted, as power
dissipation, into heat. The specified power output has been
rated for installation of the dimmer in a solid stone wall. If
the dimmer is installed in a gas concrete, wooden, or
plaster-board wall, the maximum installed load must be
reduced by 20%.
