measured with a pre-flash. The light reflected
from the pre-flash is evaluated by the camera.
According to the evaluation, the following flash
exposure is adjusted by the camera to the pho-
tographic situation (see Camera manual).
You don't have to worry about the flash set-
ting, the camera electronics automatically en-
sures the correct flash output.
For the range of the flash light, check the indi-
cation in the LC Display (2) of the flash unit
(see "Automatic flash range indication," p. 33).
When the shot is correctly illuminated, the text
o.k. appears for about 3 s on the LC Display of
the flash unit. (see "Exposure control indica-
tion", p. 33).
Note:
Make sure that the no secondary light sources
shine directly into the lens: This will confuse
the camera's measuring system!
