Step 5: Once the shim is fully adjusted, check the tighten-
ing torque (between 5.5 and 6 Nm).
Warning: before going on the road make sure you
know how to use your automatic pedals.
Practice locking and tripping the pedals a number
of times, and mentally train yourself to engage the
pedals at the stop or in other situations that would
require you to put a foot down.
Using the memory:
To use the adjustment memory, you must have a com-
patible shoe with a central oblong hole (see diagram op-
posite).
