Before calling Bright Starts
We are always happy to take your call; however, if you have a question about the
operation of your InGenuity
quickly and easily:
Issue
Shoulder straps do not
fi t over baby or are too
tight
Seat is not swinging
after turning ON power
Swinging motion stops
after manually pushing

Probable Cause
Shoulder strap height
setting is too low
Speed Selector Ring is
turned to OFF position
Normal operation:

TrueSpeed turns the
swing OFF momentarily
at startup
Batteries are installed
incorrectly
Batteries are weak
Normal operation:

TrueSpeed turns the
swing OFF momentarily
Auto shut-off turns swing
OFF after 60 minutes
Swing timer was
activated for 15, 30 or 45
minutes of operation
Batteries are weak

Solution
Route the shoulder straps through
the next higher pair of slots in the
seat pad (see Step 3 on page 17)
Set Speed Selector Ring to one of
six swing speeds

Allow TrueSpeed
to the selected speed (up to
20 seconds to reach desired speed)
Remove and reinstall the batteries,
orienting them to match the (+) and
(–) markings in the compartment.
Replace all batteries with new
alkaline size C batteries

Allow TrueSpeed
to the selected speed (up to
20 seconds to reach desired speed)
Reset the swing control: Turn the
Speed Selector Ring counter-clock-
wise to the fi rst setting (OFF). Then
turn it to select the desired speed.
The swing timer was active and it
reached the selected time (time-out).
Reset the Speed Selector Ring and
select the desired speed. Set the
swing timer (15, 30, or 45 minutes).
Replace all batteries with new
alkaline size C batteries
to re-calibrate
