AIR IN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Hydraulic can accumulate air in the system, which impairs the performance of the hydropneumatic trolley jack. To eliminate the air, please proceed as follows.
1.
Push the trigger right, "UP" position and fully raise up to the piston. (9)
2.
Loosen a little the screw in the saddle. (10)
3.
Let the pump run for approx.10 seconds, and tight the screw and push the trigger left," Down" position.
4.
Repeat the operation 3 times to eliminate the air in the system.
6
ASSEMBLY, USE AND OPERATION
1.
The handle has 3 positions.
Each position is achieved by disengaging the trigger lever (11). The purpose of the handle is to position the hydropneumatic trolley jack or simplify its
movement. Do not exert any pressure on the handle.
2.
Should the hydropneumatic trolley jack need to be packaged for transportation, remove the screw and the washer and move the handle to foldable
position (12).
3.
It is essential that an air filter-lubricator unit is installed, which is drained daily.
4.
Drain the compressor daily. Poor air quality damages essential parts for the proper operation of the jack.
5.
Prior to connecting the air supply hose, it is necessary to check that the control lever is in the Neutral position (9). The air hose should not have a
section inferior to that of the air entry connector. If unusually long hoses are used, the air pressure should be increased.
6.
Ensure that the same air pressure is going to be maintained during operation. Optimum performance of this jack is obtained with a pressure of 7-10 bar
and a minimum air flow of 280 l/min.
7
MAINTENANCE (§ 7.1.3 de l'EN 1494+A1)
IMPORTANT: The greatest single cause of failure in hydraulic units is dirt. Keep the service hydropneumatic trolley jack clean and well lubricated to prevent
foreign matter from entering the system. If the hydropneumatic trolley jack has been exposed to rain, snow, sand, or grit, it must be cleaned before it is used.
1.
Store the hydropneumatic trolley jack, with pistons completely retracted, in a well-protected area where it will not be exposed to corrosive vapors,
abrasive dust, or any other harmful elements.
2.
Use only replacement parts that are approved by the manufacturer. The use of non-original components may damage the hydropneumatic trolley jack
and will invalidate the guarantee. Disconnect the air supply before performing any maintenance operation.
3.
Regularly lubricate the moving parts in the wheels, arm, and handle using a high quality grease and introduce a small amount of lubricant in the air inlet
connection. The whole hydropneumatic trolley jack should be kept clean and protected from aggressive conditions at all times.
4.
Inspected the hydropneumatic trolley jack before each use. Take corrective action if any of the following problems are found:
a.Cracked, damaged housing. b. Excessive wear, bending, other damage c. leaking hydraulic fluid d. scored, damaged piston rod.
5.
Keep warning labels clean and readable. Use a mild soap solution to wash external surfaces of the hydropneumatic trolley jack.
6.
Both the maintenance and repair of this hydropneumatic trolley jack may only be carried out by qualified and authorized personnel.
7.
Oil Level The pistons should be fully retracted prior to proceeding to check or refill the oil level. The oil level is correct whet it is between the two marks on the
rod. Refill as required in accordance with the volume indicated in the table.
8.
If all of the oil needs to be replaced, position the hydropneumatic trolley jack between two supports so that the connecting tube can be removed through
which the oil will flow and be collected in a container which will be handed over to an authorised agent. Other methods may also be used to remove the
oil: Using a pneumatic oil extractor, positioning the hydropneumatic trolley jack in a slanted lateral position etc.
9.
IMPORTANT An excess of oil may affect the operation of the hydropneumatic trolley jack.
10.
Only use hydraulic oil with an

grade.
Causes
1. Control valve in wrong position.
2. Low/no oil in reservoir.
3. Load is above capacity of hydropneumatic trolley jack.
4. Delivery valve and/or bypass valve working correctly.
5. Seals worn out or defective.
1. Too much or not enough oil.
1. Pump not working correctly
2. Leaking seals.
3. Air pressure of pump not working normally.
1. Cylinder packing is leaking.
2. Valve not working correctly(suction, delivery, release,
bypass).
1. Worn or damaged seals.
1. Control valve in wrong position

Solution
1. Move control valve to UP position.
2. Fill with oil and bleed system.
3. Use correct equipment.
4. Clean to remove dirt or foreign matter.
Replace oil.
5. Install appropriate seal kit.
1. Check oil level.
1. Install appropriate seal kit.
2. Install appropriate seal kit.
3. Check the pump pressure in the rated
range (7 to 10 bars).
1. Replace with seal kit.
2. Inspect valves. Clean and repair seat
surfaces.
1. Replace with seal kit.
1. Move control valve to DOWN position.
1. Send hydropneumatic trolley jack to
service center.
