IMPORTANT!
The saturated steam control (7) and the steam
pressure control (8) should be opened fully at
least once a week and operated to prevent lime
scale deposits in the connecting pipes of the unit.
WATER LEVEL CHECK
The heating is automatically reactivated when the
pressure decreases. The water level in the boiler
is also monitored and more water is pumped into
the boiler from the transparent tank when the level
decreases. When the water level in the plastic tank
is below minimum, the bottom red LED of the pres-
sure indicator (6) lights up and the red malfunction
indicator (3) simultaneously starts flashing. The
water tank (9) should then be refilled. Ensure that
the tank is properly placed on the unit again after
refilling. The malfunction indicator (3) switches off
when the tank is properly in position and shortly
afterwards the red LED of the pressure indicator
also switches off. The Steamer Plus is then ready
for operation again.
CAUTION – RISK OF INJURY!
The unit may be highly pressurised when swit-
ched on. Never open the drain valve (13). Never
point the steam jet at people or animals as this
could cause burns.
MALFUNCTION INDICATOR
The unit has a malfunction indicator and an
acoustic warning signal to indicate a problem.
A PYROMETER ERROR
(ALSO ACOUSTIC SIGNAL)
The pyrometer is defective and the unit should be
checked. Contact an authorised servicing agent.
B WATER LEVEL WARNING
_ The water level in the tank (9) is below minimum
and water should be added.
_ The water tank (9) is not on the unit or has
not been placed properly on the unit.
C WATER LEVEL ERROR
(ALSO ACOUSTIC SIGNAL):
The water in the pressure tank does not reach the
correct level, even though the pump is operating.
The unit should be checked. Contact an authorised
servicing agent.
D STEAM PRESSURE ERROR
(ALSO ACOUSTIC SIGNAL):
The required pressure is not reached in the pressure
tank, even though the temperature is correct.
Contact an authorised servicing agent.
NOTE
If the pump has drawn in air, take the following
steps:
_ Switch off the heating (2) and remove the water
tank (9).
_ Allow steam to escape by pressing the steam
button (12) until the pressure in the steamboiler
is reduced.
_ Clean the water tank, fill it and replace it on
the unit. The pump should now suck up water
properly and pump it into the steamboiler.
_ Switch on the heating (2) to prepare the unit
for operation.
IMPORTANT! The steam boiler has a safety
valve that automatically opens if the pressure
reaches 6 bar. If the safety valve opens, switch
off and unplug the Steamer Plus. The unit
should be checked by the manufacturer as a
safety precaution.
SERVICE/MAINTENANCE
The Steamer Plus is virtually maintenance-free. It
must however be descaled regularly. A special
LED (5) indicates when the unit requires desca-
ling. The electronic descaling programme (refer
to section Electronic Descaling Programme)
ensures that descaling is carried out easily and
correctly.
ELECTRONIC DESCALING PROGRAMME
Always ensure the unit is cold and non-pressurised
before starting the descaling programme!
1. The unit should be connected to the mains
