20. lf the hose has been shortened, before actuating the clutch for the first time, turn the
handlebar to the right so that the master cylinder is tilted upwards. Pump master cylinder
lever several times max. 1/4 of its possible travel. This ensures that any residual air can
escape to the reservoir. (A quick way to check free play after installation, simply pull
slave cylinder body away from housing. The gap created should be about 1/8".)
