d) Connect the encoder and drive shafts via a tolerance-com-
pensating element (coupling).
e) During assembly, protect the tolerance-compensating ele-
ment against too important bending and damages.
f) Align the coupling on the shafts, screw the coupling
without preload.
g) Secure the screws against loosening, see chapter
Screw Retention [} 53].
