5.7 Inserting the extraction thimbles into the unit
Whit the package comes a set of accessories that must be used for thimble manipula-
tion and to insert all sample together into the extractor.
•
Place the column magnets to the Up position (See 5.5).
1. Hang on the «Alignment tubes rack» on the front side of unit.
2. Place the «alignment tubes» into the «Alignment tubes rack» holes.

3. Place the «extraction thimbles» into the «alignment tubes».
4. "Catch" the «alignment tubes» with the «insertion holder».
5. Place the «insertion holder» under the columns.
6. Take down the magnets until you capture the extraction thimbles.

7. Raise the magnets (that carries the thimbles).
8. Remove «Insertion holder».
The thimbles are ready to the extraction.

5.8 Inserting the beakers
The aluminium beakers collects the extracted fat from the sample. They are placed
at the bottom of each column.
The locking system, between the beaker and the column is made by a gasket (Viton
or Butyl) (See 5.3).
The operation to place the beakers must be done with care, because a wrong place-
ment can damage the gaskets and produce solvent leakage.
Placing the beakers:
•
Fit the beakers into the «Beakers rack».
•
Used the side knob to raise the extraction thimbles.
•
Place the «Beakers rack» under the glass columns.
Press down the locking lever, and, at the same time, align the beakers and check
that all fits under the white part of each column.
•
Press the locking lever until it becomes engaged.
•
To release the lever, pull the lever lock.
