8.8 Diagnostics menu
The DET GRAS N includes a menu to identify any problem with the measure and temperature controller.
This operation serves to homogenize the temperature of the different equipment internal probes.
• Auto-calibration: This operation allows heater surface temperature calibration against an external ther-
mometer. (It must be provided with a suitable probe for surface measurement).
The process is as follows:
•
On pressing ENTER, the unit starts for near 30 minutes to stabilize the temperature around 80ºC.
•
When this point is reached, a repeated beep sounds and the self-calibration process will be over.
• Probes reading: Use this operation to check the temperature probes and the heating elements.
The process is as follows:
•
Set a working temperature using the Up/Down keys. Validate with ENTER.
•
Toggle with the ESC key if the readings are shown with (C) or without (N/C) the correction.
•
Start the unit by pressing ENTER (a "1" is shown on the up right display corner).
•
Wait until the set temperature stabilizes. The reading of each probe appears on the display.
•
Stop with ESC. To return to the main menu, keep ESC pressed for a few seconds.
From the main menu, keep ENTER key
pressed for 10 s until the display changes.
