2.4 PRODUCT FEATURES
2.4.1 Auto-Check
Continuous functions monitoring. Any internal fault will be detected and visually indicated in
the units.
2.4.2 Limited Aperture Angle
The aperture of the optical beams is limited to prevent reflection from objects placed near the
light beams.
2.4.3 Safety Outputs
The system has two digital safety outputs with PNP logic.
The status of which depends on the condition of the protected area. The maximum load allowed
is 150 mA at +24 V DC, which corresponds to a resistive load of 160 Ω. Maximum capacity
loads corresponds to 0.2 μF. The meaning of the status of outputs is defined in the table below.
Any short circuit between outputs or between outputs to +24 V DC or 0 V DC power supplies
is detected by LSP internal circuit.

2.5 MODELS
For the models LSP14 and LSP29, classified as a light curtain, the resolution is the smallest
measure an object should have when introduced in the monitored area by the light curtain that
will interrupt at least one light beam. The resolution value of the light curtain is the sum of the
distance between the beam to the diameter of the lens. This information should be used for
the calculation of the safety distance.
