4 FIRST TIME POWER-UP AND START-UP

Before energizing the equipment, ensure that:
1. The supply voltage is according to specified in the label and must be SELV/PELV.
2. If the power cable of the emitter module is connected correctly.
3. If the power cable of the receiver module is connected correctly.
4. The both OSSDs are connected in default machine diagram points.
5. It is wrong to interrupt power to the LSP during the working cycle of the machine, because
besides being improper installation, this act endangers the safety of the system and reduces
the life of the equipment. After the conference of interconnections, and be absolutely sure
that everything is correct, energize the LSP and see in emitter unit if the green LED lights up.
In positive case this unit is properly powered.
On the receiving unit observe if the yellow LED lights up. If yes is because the units are
synchronized. If not, set mechanically alignment between units until realize that they are
apparently frontally aligned. At this time the yellow LED should light together with green LED
representing the ON STATE. From this point, turn each unit on the left and right, to achieve
optimal midpoint alignment.
After that, tighten the screws and the LSP is ready to operate.

4.1 PRODUCT USE WITH SAFETY

The control of machine should consider the safety level of light curtain to perform the correct
connection between them.
It must be taken into account all possible failures and scams and that in any case are possible
to eliminate or modify the installation of the equipment. Any failure endangering safety must
be detected immediately, providing the immediate stop of the machine, being only possible
to reactivate the operation if normal operating conditions have been restored and the danger
zone is not invaded.
The use of light curtain is recommended in the following situations:
The machine control can be actuated electrically.

The dangerous machine motion can be stopped immediately.
„
The object that will interrupt the beam of the light curtain is equal or greater than the resolution

specified of the light curtain.
The local ambient temperature where the light curtain will be installed is compatible with the

specifications of this manual.
