7) ADJUSTMENT OF THE LIMIT SWITCHES
The versions with limit switch have 4 microswitches actuated by 4 adjustable coloured cams:
Red cam
Limit switch opening (SWO)
Blue cam
Limit switch opening (SWO XT) - Extra run open
Yellow cam
Limit switch closing (SWC)
Black cam
Microswitch available for accessories (AUX)
To adjust the cams proceed as follows:
• Manually move the door until it is almost closed and adjust the SWC cam until the micro-switch is almost triggered (Fig. 15).
• Tighten the dowel shown in Figure 16 by using a 2.5mm socket head key.
• By using the same key, carry out the micrometric adjustment of the cam, as shown in Figure 17.
• Repeat the operation while opening the door and adjust the SWO cam.
• Then position the SWO XT cam so that it is activated slightly delayed with respect to the SWO cam.
• Power the automatic unit and operate it (if it is a closing operation, invert wires M1 and M2 of the motor power supply, fig. 12).
• Should further adjustments be required, turn the micrometric adjustment dowel.
Figure 18 shows the wire diagram of limit switches in single-phase motors, while Figure 19 shown wire connections in three-phase motors.
8) MANUAL EMERGENCY OPERATION
In the event of lack of power supply or failure the emergency operation varies depending on the two types of actuators.
VN.S SERIES (QUICK UNLOCK)
A two-cord unlock/reset system releases the door from the automation system.
To move the door in the event of no power supply or failure, pull the unlock cord (fig.24), then open/close the door manually
It is important that the door is well balanced.
To restore automatic mode, pull the other cord.
If the automation system does not work when the power returns, check that lever "L" is in the correct position, being a safety mi-
croswitch it automatically disconnects the motor during manual operation.
If the automation system extends beyond the closing limit switch, the effort to unlock the door may be too great, so it is advisable to
let the drive shaft run a few turns in the direction of the opening before proceeding to unlock as described above.
VN.M SERIES (CHAIN UNLOCK)
A chain system connected to the drive shaft and therefore to the door shaft allows to open/close the door.
To do this use the chain illustrated in Fig.25, pulling it in one direction opens, pulling it in the other closes.
A safety microswitch automatically disconnects the motor as soon as manual operation starts.
When the mains power supply returns, the reset is automatic.
