at short intervals. After deactiva-
tion, the integrated brake requi-
res approx. 3 seconds to come
to a standstill. If reactivation
takes place during this period,
the brake can seize and engine
damage occur. This engine
damage is not covered by the

8. Information Concerning Correct Mowing
General Lawn Care Information
To achieve a manicured lawn,
we recommend mowing once
a week if possible. Frequent cut-
ting strengthens the short stalks
of grass and makes them resist-
ant. Short cuttings (up to about
1 cm in length) can be left on the
ground after cutting. Longer cut-
tings must be removed to stop the
lawn turning yellow and matting.
Cut the lawn in spring for the first
time as soon as the grass begins
to grow and it is possible to walk
on the lawn. If the grass has
grown too long, cut in one direc-
tion first with a high cutting height
adjustment and then across this
at the required cutting height.
In dry weather it is important
to prevent the lawn grass from
drying out or turning brown.
Therefore do not cut it too short.
We recommend a cutting height
of 40 – 45 mm.
To prepare the lawn perfectly for
the coming winter, we recommend
cutting the lawn down to approx.
25 mm. Clean the mower hous-
ing each time the mower is used.

Note:
The mower will start easily if
you lift the guide bar slightly by
pressing on it gently. If the cut-
ting mechanism is blocked by
a foreign body or the motor is
overloaded, release the safety
handle and pull out the mains
plug. Remove the foreign body
if necessary.
Switching Off
Release the safety handle to stop
the motor (fig. 3). The integrated
brake will bring the cutting
Note:
On slopes the cutting path should
always be across the slope.
The mower can be prevented
from sliding down the slope by
angling it upwards. Do not mow
excessively steep slopes and be
particularly careful if you change
the direction in which you are
mowing on the slope. Clean the
underside of the mower housing
regularly. Deposits of grass must
be removed. Deposits make it
difficult to start the mower,
impair the quality of the cut and
the ejection of the grass.
Mowing with the Grass Box
The grass box must be emptied
as soon as grass residue is left
lying on the lawn.
Warning! Turn off the

motor and wait for the
cutting mechanism to come
to a standstill before taking off
the grass box.
To remove the grass box, lift the
protective flap (fig. 5, item 1) on
the lawnmower with one hand.
Lift the grass box by the carrying
handle (fig. 5, item 2) with the
other hand. If you let go of the
flap it drops automatically and
mechanism to a standstill within
3 seconds.

grass residue is left in the dis-

order to start the mower more
easily to draw it backwards

residue can drop out.

To guarantee that the grass
box fills well, clean it after use,
especially the air grille.
