Always carry out a visual inspec-
tion before using your lawn-
mower to ensure that cutting
tool, retaining bolts and entire
cutting unit are not worn or
damaged. Always replace worn

new parts to ensure the lawn-
mower is properly balanced (see
Maintenance, Care and Storage).

Initially push the coupler of the
connecting cable onto the start
switch connector and then sus-
pend the cable in the strain relief
in such a way that the cable is
slightly sagging in the direction
of the starter switch connector
(fig. 3). The cable strain-relief
prevents the electrical plug and
socket connection being discon-
nected accidentally. Always
unwind the spare cable com-
pletely from the cable reel and
lay it out in large, loose coils.
Insert the plug in the
socket provided for the purpose.
The cable must be routed in such
a way that during mowing it
always lies on the side which
has already been mowed.
The cable must not be squeezed
through doors or windows.
Only ever pull the cable out

into the screw holes provided (5)
and tighten the screws as far as
they will go.
