1. SAFETY INFORMATION
To avoid unnecessary damage to the scale, please pay close attention to the following tips:
• Do not use the scale in hazardous areas.
• Disconnect the scale from the power supply before connecting it to (or disconnecting it from) any other installation.
• Excessive electromagnetic interference may cause the display to read incorrectly. Once any
electromagnetic interference is reduced, the scale should operate normally.
• Avoid spilling any liquid on the surface of the scale. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the scale
2. INSTALLATION
• Make sure that the local voltage is in line with the voltage indicated on the rating pan.
• Pay special attention when using the RS-232 C data output.
• Check that the cable connected matches the diagram provided for RS-232 communication. If this is not the case, disconnect the
cable immediately
• If there is any visible damage to the equipment or power cord, please disconnect the scale from the power supply, place it in a
safe place and do not use it until it has been installed safely.
• The scale can only be connected to our accessories or optional parts. We shall not be liable for any modifications made by the
user to the scale, including improper use of the installation or the use of a power cable other than that supplied with the scale.
• If the scale is not working properly, please contact your dealer.
3. BEFORE USING THE SCALE
3.1 SCALE ENVIRONMENT
This scale requires an environment free of high and low temperatures, corrosion, vibrations, draughts and collision hazards.
3.2 UNPACKING
• Unpack the scale and check that it has not been damaged during transport.
• If there is any external damage, please consult the maintenance and troubleshooting section.
• Save the original packaging of the scale for possible future transport. When packing the scale, remove all cables to avoid unnec-
essary damage
3.3 LIST OF MATERIALS
• Scale.
• Weighing pan.
• Pan holder.
• Network adapter.
• Instruction manual.
4. SCALE SET-UP
Set up the scale in a suitable place, and avoid the following situations:
• High temperatures and direct sunlight.
• Air currents and vibrations
• Excessive humidity level.
