17. OPTIONAL FUNCTIONS

Hydrostatic weighing hook
On the bottom of the scale there is a hole for installing the weighing hook (optional). (The use of the lower weighing hook is not
permitted for balances within Legal Metrology).
1. Open the lower cover of the scale (please turn the scale on its side to open the lower cover, not the other way around).
2. Screw the hook to the right in the lower hole, stop screwing the hook if you feel any resistance.
3. Hanging the object from the hook on a suspension line, for example.
4. If necessary, install a hydrostatic bench to prevent drafts.

18. COMMUNICATION WITH A COMPUTER

The scale's key functions can be used via RS-232. The following commands are available:
When the scale is connected to a computer, we recommend using the print function immediately. In response to this command, the
scale will transmit any number or message that appears on the display.
The output format is as follows:
A B C D E F G H I J K L M
A - +/- Sign field; does not usually appear when it is a positive number, appears when the reading is negative.
B – G: Number and decimal field; spaces are used when there are fewer than six digits.
H – I: Field of spaces.
Unit field; describes the weighing unit of the transmitted weights. The scale will transmit G for grams, O for ounces

and C for carats.
Stability character; corresponds to the OK symbol on the scale display. S means the reading is stable, a space

means the reading is unstable.
L: Return character.
M: Line feed character; indicates the line feed.
