Main Broom
The main broom loads the debris into the rear hopper.
Caution !
Never sweep wires, strings, etc..., because they may wind around the broom and the bristle can be damaged. NOTE: it is advisable to check
the broom periodically.
Main Broom Adjustment
The main broom must just touch the ground leaving a 1-3/16" (3cm) wide broom pattern (check the machine when stationary on an even surface,
drwg. A). When the main broom no longer touches the ground leaving dirty traces, this means it is worn to a point where it must be adjusted
as follows:
NOTE: The second notch and arrow 3 (fig 3) correspond to the working position with a new main broom 1-3/16" (3 cm) broom pattern.
Loosen nut 4; rotate knob 5 clockwise moving it by one notch. Each notch corresponds to a 3/32" (2.5 mm) lowering of the broom to again adjust
to a 1-3/16" (3cm) wide broom pattern. Lock nut 4.
