The Genuine Park Distance Control system should be fitted by an authorised workshop. Incorrect fitting may result
in damage to the vehicle or the Park Distance Control system.
◆
The Genuine Park Distance Control system is not suitable for fitting on vehicles which have subsequently been
lowered (sport suspension, etc.).
◆
The work to be performed on the vehicle, as described in these installation instructions, may vary in some
circumstances as a result of model improvement measures. As such, changes to the wiring colours or even the
fitting sites cannot be discounted. In view of this, please ensure that you always use the appropriate current circuit
diagram or the current vehicle workshop manual.

All Genuine Park Distance Control system component, with the exception of the CAN-Bus/power supply wiring
harness, correspond to production status and are assembled at the factory-installed fitting location.

1.1 Painting the sensors
Note
◆
Do not clean the sensors with a silicone remover prior to painting, use a mild alcohol instead.
◆
Additional general information concerning painting:
Self-study programme No. 214/215
Tape off the sensors so that only the visible outside surface of the sensors remains free.
Paint the outside surface of the sensors evenly and not too thickly the same colour as the car.
Repaint as necessary after drying, e. g. clear varnish for twin coat painting.
