- Fit and secure the dynamic-static mixing tip (fig. 7).
- Fit the mixing tip locker taking care to engage the clips (fig. 8A) on the cartridge (fig. 8B).
- The Zhermack 5:1 system cartridge is now ready to use (fig. 10).
- Leave the dynamic-static mixing tip in place after use.
To replace it, simply turn the mixing tip locker through 45° and remove it (fig. 11A).
Then remove the dynamic-static mixing tip (fig. 11B).
- Follow the machine manufacturer's instructions to remove and replace the cartridge.
WARNINGS
- Always dispense equal amounts of base & catalyst before fitting the dynamic-static mixing tip. If
you forget to do so, start the machine and wait until the material coming out is uniform in
colour, then take away any non-homogenous material before proceeding.
- Only use original Zhermack 5:1 system cartridges, dynamic-static mixing tips and mixing tip
lockers. The use of other mixing tips does not guarantee optimal mixing and can jeopardise the
product's characteristics and end results.
- The mixing tip locker cannot be used with cartridges not from Zhermack's 5:1 mixing
system.

WARNING: In sensitive subjects, vinyl polysiloxanes may cause irritation or other allergic reactions.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTION OF THE IMPRESSION
After rinsing well under running water, the impression can be immediately disinfected. Ideal
disinfecting is achieved by immersing the impression in Zeta 7 solution or spraying it with
Zeta 7 spray (Zhermack). When using other disinfectants, always follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
CASTING MODELS
There is no need to wait; models may be cast immediately after disinfection, or up to two weeks
later, provided that the impression is kept at room temperature. Freealgin is compatible with all
the best plasters on the market and with polyurethane resins. We recommend Zhermack gypsum,
type 4 stone: Elite Stone (Zhermack) and type 3: Elite Model/Elite Model Fast (Zhermack).
CLEANING AND DISINFECTING THE DISPENSER
The dispenser can be cleaned, disinfected, and sterilised by immersion in liquid or in a steam
autoclave. We recommend Zeta 3 (Zhermack) disinfectant and Zeta 2 Sporex (Zhermack)
sterilisation liquid.
